what you doing at Xmas

I've been trying to think of what to do at Xmas, This year will the first time
ever I will on my own, (Broomhilda and youngest son are holidaying in the UK)
Any ideas of what i can do apart from sitting home? I thought maybe a nice
opportunity to get on the motorbike and tour the country a bit ??
Any other suggestions bearing in mind everywhere will be closed

I'm pretty confident that whatever you do it'll be better than what I'm doing. Working 12hr nights shifts 23rd/24th/25th...bah humbug.

One of the things I absolutely love about Christmas here is that the Kiwi's pretty much treat it as just another day. None of this ridiculous pressure to spend a fortune, take hours to prepare a monstrous meal and then eat far too much and be cooped up inside with rellies you don't even like!

This will be my second Christmas as a singleton, although I did have a bloke around last year. It makes no difference. The afternoon is spent meeting up with mates and their kids on the beach, swimming, sunbathing, boogie boarding, kayaking, bubbles and nibbles and then home about 6/7pm. Last year was round at friends/neighbours for a BBQ, same the year before, don't know this year. Probably with friends just hanging out and drinking bubbles!

We should have a Christmas for singletons!

It'd need a big venue, every other person I meet nowadays is seperated or divorced
and I have a feeling it'd rapidly slide into a drinkfest....Hmmm I like that idea

I have outlaws to entertain :(

Probably perfect day to get out on your bike though Col, as I assume most folk won't be on the road.
