Talking what are our chances?

hi i am a nurse who is in the process of trying to obtain a greencard for the usa however we have new zealand down as an alternative if things dont work out. so my question is: how easy do you think it will be for my husband to get a job out there? he is a carpenter by trade but also has experiance in plastering, brickwork and most aspects of building.
he was also in dairy farming for many years (but i dont think he fancies that again but if need must he probably would)
any advice would be gratefully recieved
thanks

Go for it.
