BRING A PICNIC!
You can hire a BBQ to cook up some meat for around $2 per 30 mins (I think), but we normally just take a picnic.

Head for the end of the peninsular down Whangaparaoa Rd, it ends up at the park then follow the signs for picnic area 5 and that will drop you on the right beach.

I'll think up some sort of "its us" flag/symbol or something to save you all wandering up and down wondering probably our bright red beach umbrella (he says hopefully )

So we will be there from around 12pm. We being me, him indoors and just the 2 little ones. The biggest one went to school on Friday morning and we haven't seen him since! He was at a birthday sleepover on Friday night then went to another sleepover last night and we don't expect him home until later this afternoon. (I have called to check he's still alive before anyone reports me to CYFs )

Anyone would think my teenage baby didn't want to be home with Mummy and Daddy

Had a great time this afternoon meeting up! Caught the sun a bit (read: a lot! ) but all the kids had an absolute ball and a fab game of cricket too.

Would have been nice if the organiser had actually turned up too haha. Maybe next time (I was joking that you got out of your car, heard/saw the riff-raff and decided against coming over )

Sorry we could not make it, but only got back from the round the bays run at 2pm, which I did in 78 mins 53 secs, with a 10 min toilet stop
