The Wellies November & Christmas Meeting - Weds 21st
November & Christmas Meeting - Weds 21st Macs Brewery
Kia Ora and Welcome!
A big thank-you to all members who came along to the last Wellies event in September at The Lanes Bowling! It was a great night and good to see you all, especially so many partners of Wellies members. It's nice to see so many expats making the most of what Wellington has to offer and enjoying New Zealand!
Continuing with our more social approach to the monthly meetings, we are proud to announce that our next get-together will be in the Macs Brewery! We have booked a tour of the Brewery, Wakefield St (opposite Te Papa) on Wednesday 21st November at 6pm, including tastings.
The cost is usually $40 which has been reduced to $20 for the Wellies including a bit of sponsorship! The tour is limited to 30 people, which will be first come first served. No under 18s are allowed on the tour, however accompanied children are welcome to wait in the restaurant area for the tour to finish (around 7pm) where we will have another drink and a short presentation from our guest speaker.
This will be our last of the year as people usually head away for the Christmas break, so it would be great to see as many of you as possible if only for a drink after the tour itself.
So we can get an accurate idea of numbers, if you would like to come along to the November Christmas meeting, please email [email protected] and let us know
1) if you would like to reserve a place on the Tour or just the afterdrinks at 7pm, and
2) if you will be bringing a partner.
Dont forget the Fireworks at Oriental Bay/ Te Papa Monday 5th November at 9pm!
Many thanks and we look forward to seeing you there,
Tom LeGrice

Are you going Rob? If so, are you taking the missus? I'm going by myself (if I've got a place) but hubby and daughter are staying put as we have no-one to look after her during the tour.

That sounds great
Two problems though but:
1. I'm not in IT
2. I'm not in New Zealand

What classes as IT I am an Electrician technically, but we specialise in Data Cabling and UPS systems! So without us there wouldnt be any IT
And if any you guys need a new UPS to keep those servers going in a Welly power-cut drop me a line...
Seriously though, would be interested in the meet, if i could qualify?
