Weekends in Chch
Hi, just wanted to share with you what we got up to last weekend. People in UK are always asking "so why NZ" - well this is one of the reasons. There was 'take a kid fishing' on last week at the lakes, hundreds turned out for it, and it was organised very well, my daughter caught a 4lb salmon all by herself, the look on her face when she landed it was priceless (so was her Dads), their were people who helped gut it and clean it etc. We filleted it together when we got home and cooked in and it was the most delicious fish ever.
And to top it all off, the whole day was free and even the fish was free. Excellent, we and the kids love NZ tons of things to do.

Just as you say.....the reason we came to NZ! 
This would never happen back in the UK. She looks really proud of herself,and so she should be. Well done that girl.

Bliemy went back to the same lakes today and the kids caught 4 salmon, yippee put the BBQ on we are having fish for tea.
