Default TV+Sound standards..

Hi there, just wondering whether it's worth bringing my LCD tv over.Rang Samsung and they said as long as they have PAL & B/G(sound) you`ll be ok.. have done some research but i`m getting conflicting info.. some say it has then some say NZ uses PAL & I. Does anyone have experience on this? Cheers!

It'll be OK if you have Sky.

We brought ours over. Just plugged an aerial in the back and it goes fine.

We bought over a Sony Plasma with built in tuner thats about 4 years old and it would not work on the ariel when plugged in but two newer Sony LCD's (less than 2 years old) worked first time on auto tune/set up, picking up picture and sound with no problems.....

We've got Sky installed which now runs into the Plasma with no problems at all.....

As said above bring whatever you have, it will be useable in some way here even if its just as a monitor for your DVD player............

You brought 3 TVs over?

So much for NZ and the great outdoors....

Actually we brought over a few more than that but other than check a few of them in their boxes thats where they've stayed and one of the LCD's has been turned on to check it works but other than that hasn't been used....a good thing in my view.

The kids do more outside here, especially where we are now.........

Still need the tele sometimes though.....

So....at least 5 TVs?

If you'd have taken the time to look at the TV schedules you'd have left them all behind.

Having said that...It's Dai Henwood and 'The Investigator' tonight...
