Tsunami..?
 
ON the UK news at about 5.40 pm BST it was anounced on the BBC that there had been a huge earthquake on the seabed near Tonga and that a Tsunami warning was in force for NZ and Fiji. Nothing developed from there - they said the warning was for "the authorities to take appropriate action".

Just curious did anyone in NZ know about it? What happened?

We had the surfboards out but no wave :o
