Default Transplantees?

Are there any of you out there that have emmigrated to NZ after a transplant? Not that I have had one. Just wondering as my daughter has dialysis and hopes to have a transplant.

I think you would get a community card to help with costs of medicines though if it was something you needed regularly. Don't quote me on it though.

You have to show you need so many medicines in one year first and that runs Jan to Dec.

I would think this is one of the areas of health that may prevent a person gaining residency.

You pay to see your GP and for your prescriptions. Community Service card holders pay a reduced fee/nil, but you need to check out eligibility to get a card.

So after the first year you'd be cool

Agree though it may be one area that NZIS will reject you for
