Default Time for Wellington to rattle

GeoNet - Quakes

5.2 27k deep nr Masterton. second one there within the hour

Odd how these things work, DS felt it and said the TV moved in the kids room, OG said the wall shock and he heard it, myself in the Kitchen which has walls to both of those rooms didn't hear or sense a thing. not sure about DD as she is in her bedroom which is a room away, but as she hasn't come out guessing she didn't.

Hold on to your hats! Hope it all settles down but have your emergency kit handy all.

Got the 7.55am 5.3 magnitude centred around Masterton.

The house swayed for a while. No damage thankfully.

We went through all this s h 1 t in Christchurch five years ago.

Thinking of you all up there. If it helps I have some pro tips for dealing with aftershock nerves.

1. Chocolate for everything over 4.5
2. Dance to some really terrible music to get the adrenaline out.

It helps.
