Are there any Firefighters from the UK that have been successful in gaining employment as a Firefighter in NZ?

The city stations are staffed by paid firefighters MrsF. There are 1700 salaried firefighters in NZ. About 8000 volunteers. Maybe they wouldnt be seeking people from overseas though. No harm making an enquiry with the NZ fire service. Never know your luck. Theyre always advertising for recruits.

New Zealand Fire Service - International enquiries overview
"It is currently not possible to transfer from an overseas brigade. Operational staff from overseas must apply for a recruit position, undergo full recruit training and start at the bottom of the NZ structure. The New Zealand Fire Service cannot assist in sponsoring people through emigration as there are many New Zealand applicants available and the Immigration Service does not consider firefighting as a preferential occupational category. The only exception has been for some high level or extremely specialised positions"
"The current position as regards recruiting overseas firefighters is that they must have either NZ permanent residence or NZ citizenship and must generally already be resident in New Zealand when they apply. Due to the time span of the recruitment process it is not practical to have a person make several trips from overseas to complete the recruitment requirements. Overseas qualifications may also need to be recognised by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority prior to your application being accepted"

If he's a Group or Area Manager they may grab him, or maybe Hazmat or New Dimension specialist?

I think the reply posted by Mrs F speaks for itself
He might have his own pole, it seems a pretty clear no to me
