Wow that's scary!! I'm on Denplan in the UK, is there a comparable dental plan in NZ? I know it initially looks expensive (I pay £22 per month) but I can have just about anything done for free, including 3 visits for hygenist a year.
I've certainly had my moneys worth over the years.

We hadn't had a check up here in NZ for 5 years & both only went cos we needed a filling My advise would be to ensure all your dental care is up to date before you move here, use an electric tooth brush & watch the sugar intake.

Zero. My spouse and i have no idea of involving just about any affordable or more affordable selection. Amazingly high-priced & therefore many of us didn't retained in the proper care how we'd get in england, perhaps staying using individual BRITISH ISLES dental practice. Consequently very, very hard to avoid wasting along with find the money for the idea. This is why the thing is that countless gummy happiness along with dentures all-around. More affordable to secure a dental care ripped when compared with understand it preset.

Simple fillings for a start seem to be very pricey...
Also, just having your teeth cleaned - not that I have bothered for decades - but I was quoted 500+ dollars for that.
I don't really want to plough all of my savings into getting the family teeth done. In the UK, you can go NHS if you want cheap.
Short of flying to Vietnam, are there any cheaper options???

There is talk of an NHS style system over here, but I can't see it happening unless Labor get back in at the next election.
Whatever you do don't go to Thailand or similar for dental treatment, I've heard some horror stories about people going there for implants that go horribly wrong.

I travel to Australia once a year, so I looked into this option too. I came across this site which gives and indication of fees on Oz:
http://www.smile.com.au/dental-denti...s-prices-costs
It is open to tourists and non residents. I don't know if this is the best option for Australia - it might be worth checking if you are going over anyway, but it doesn't look like it's worth a special trip.
