Greetings all, got a UK iPhone all unlocked in blighty etc etc.. to cut a long story short I had to Restore it and now it needs a UK O2 Sim in order to become activated. Once its activated I can take the SIM out and Jailbreak/Unlock etc - spend a good bit of yesterday trying to circumnavigate this requirement using various apps, all of which didn't do what they said on the tin, unfortunately
. In a nutshell, has anyone in Auckland or round about got a UK O2 Sim they bought over and is sitting in the back of a drawer somewhere? I can return it within a day or so and would be very grateful. PS I have someone in the UK who will send me one over if needs be so its not a totally lost cause.

We came over with 2 so have just scoured the drawers and cupboards but I'll be darned if I can find them!

Ohhh .. thanks for the reply , I have a UK Orange SIM which is useless (I did have an O2 one but where it is i have no idea ) and have tried all sorts of hacks - if u do find it it'll only take 5 mins to activate it .. keep looking .. thanks again

Wot a star you are Sue :-) , popped the Sim, in connected to itunes, "Phone Activated" message popped up , plus had a cuppa and a cake with Carol and Peter , not a bad old life on a rainy Saturday afternoon - all excited playing with my new toy all afternoon

Will be in touch regarding returning it , hope the new rental going ok
