Someone wants our house!
Weird thing - we got a letter yesterday from one of the big realestate companies, personally addressed, saying someone had approached them who was interested in buying our house and were we intersted in selling!
I don't think so!
Especially not after we've just spent 40 grand on it!!

40 grand$ micky mouse money ,UMMM lick of paint a bit of insultation (not spelt wrong) and a couple of new windows .Sell it and reap the profits to buy a more modern home that costs less to run.Beter still subdivide it as well and double the profit.

I can't imagine ever having one of those, I like to move every 3-4 years. Goodness knows why.

I think you might have something there, hmm
I never want to move again! Certainly not a year after buying the house.

Re: Someone wants our house!
The agency I work for often sell houses that never come to the market - someone they know (from their databases) will approach them and say they'd like such a house and they (I) write to the homeowner and tell them they have a buyer if they're interested in selling.
Are there good schools nearby Rob? It's usually because someone needs/wants to be in a particular school area. Or, they've really got their heart set on living in a particular street.
If anyone would like to buy ours...... we'll talk We're like UK Kiwi - every couple of years we move

We'll never do that because we think it'd ruin the place, and it'd mean cutting down the fruit trees.

Rob, I know how you feel! We've done work to ours too, but even before that we just love it so much I think it would take something pretty humungous to make us even consider selling. I want to end my days here.
