Rotorua reccie August
We are seriously considering moving to Rotorua If/when we emigrate from London, (if house prices ever drop enough that is).
We'll be driving from Auckland and arrive on 1st of August.
We'll be in town for three weeks and have rented a house (well two, different locations) and wish to live the life....you know queueing up at the supermarket, waiting at the bus stop etc.
Were hoping someone would be willing to talk to us about their experience of moving to, and living in Rotorua.
Possibly give us some advice regarding whats a good /poor house, areas, tale tail signs and what to look out for.
Thanks.

Ooh thanks everyone for the advice - I used to lurk a bit but life sort of overtook and I had quite lost track of the www (apart from Trademe!) and then looking for info on quite a different matter (did involve shopping though!) found this forum and here I am!
I will go and have a browse and see if I can get my posts up (ooh err!!)

Hello we live in Rotovegas and have been here 5 years and almost 2 weeks.
More than happy to answer questions/meet up when you get here.
Where have you rented the houses? what sort of work would you be looking for?
Cheers
Gill

Hi Guys,
I'm a Design n technology teacher in a secondary school.
The Ann's asleep now, but I know one's near a graveyard in Roto-vegas seconds over at ngongo.....
How about you two?
Whats the "Rotovegas" label, all the casinos there?

Re: Rotorua reccie August
Fantastic hospitality in rotorua, from Gill and Rob, a font of local knowlege and excellent hosts
Now Ive seen the DVS system in action I can vouch for it, It's the only time we've been warm since arriving here.
last night I had a go at cleaning out the air pump and the amount of dust in the filters hopefully its going to reach 20+ tonight.
Had good reply from DVLC and they will fax/post to us documentation for only 5 quid, looks like we will not have to acept the offers of chauferring just yet
Will contact DVLA tonight to see if they are as good as their word, just gotta find out what the local bobbies will accept in lieu of a licence.... no time to spell check this .. times up!
