recruitment agent

Re: recruitment agent
Hello,
I speculatively emailed my CV across to a couple of agencies who recruit in my area and now have 2nd interview for a job tonight at 10pm and a first inverview some time later this week if we can get a decent time sorted!
I think it really depends on the area you work in - if they need you they'll get you to interview over Skype or something similar. Depends if you want to go over with a job offer or not too? I was planning on having a holiday so not sure why I'm going for interviews
Good luck!

Re: recruitment agent
My advice is to use recruitment agencies for your own benefit. When they contact you regarding a possible job opportunity, try and find out who the employer is and then apply direct, don't send them your CV. Sometimes they will tell you the name of company and sometimes not, if not try and find out as much information as possible to work out yourself who the employer is. Employers will prefer to employ someone directly so they save money. Don't feel any guilt about doing this, most agents are sharks anyway, learning to beat them at their own game is the best way of dealing with them.
