Why does cheddar cheese taste even better if you grate it??

i think i might know. possibly because when you take cheese straight out the fridge, it is still quite cold when you come to eat it and thus the flavour isnt released.

by cutting it up into small pieces (grating) then the cheese warms up more quickly and so the flavour is released.

I just think its cos its fun to grate! And it feels like you are doing some work in the process so get more gratification out of the flavour and eating it

My thought;

There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra today than on Alzheimer's research. Does this mean that by 2040, there should be a large elderly population with perky boobs and huge erections and absolutely no recollection of what to do with them?

Because people like me who hate taking pills use the liquid kids stuff now and again. I never feel drowsy though and if Im ill enough to take it I wont be driving anywhere !!
