Porirua Posse! Skills Swap Shop
Ok - there must be some strapping young lads amongst you who know how to concrete in fence posts and would love food and beer in return?!
Anyone fancy the challenge?
Is anyone running a skills swap shop in the area out of interest?

I've never concreted in posts but I have built fences and am happy to lend a hand. I can bring tools and stuff
How hard can it be?

ahh bless you all.
Well i was going to have a chat with this builder to see if he can come and oversee/provide posts and cement mixer etc... and we provide labour. I have seen some panels on trademe and the guys are gonna make a gate for us. I think I need about 5 or 6 panels plus the gate, so its not a huge job - its just something i have never done before and would take Lee and I ages to do on our own.
We move into our new house on 30th january and I was thinking starting work on the sunday 3rd feb to try get the posts in. Or at the latest the following weekend. Need to keep these kids contained!!!
If you guys are really up for it then thats fantastic. Lee and I can offer IT skills, babysitting, taxi service or labour in return for any help.

This post is sexist!!
I owned my own landscaping business in the UK and I did plenty of fencing including putting in posts!!!:curse:
Girls can do much more than cook, sew, iron, clean, bake and give birth you know.

Re: Porirua Posse! Skills Swap Shop
speaking for myself i do plumbing, electrics, all DIY - but only in my own home. I dont want to make empty promises. And I certainly wouldnt offer to do these kind of jobs in someone elses home when its not my trade. So i am offering what I know I can feasibily do at this point in time.
Since having 2nd child i have put out my pelvis which means i cant do hard manual labour otherwise believe me i would have done it myself!
So please review what you just posted cos you are WAY out of order.
