sent app off last tues got email saying docs sent back. This surely cant be granted? The weight i sent off was 1kg the doc back is 0.5kg.

My husbands was granted within 2days. But didnt think mine would be esp as i have a high bmi. No other medical probs. The visas incl me and 2children, guess ill know tommorow

Yeah, this might be because it's a partnership category visa. I have a family category visa because I'm married to a New Zealander. It seems to me that NZ Immigration take the view that I'm somehow his responsibility.

That doesn't really mean anything as I have the same access to services and resposibility to myself as anyone else with the same visa rights as me living in New Zealand.

I can't remember how long it took to get my visa back in 1997. Although when I reapplied in, um, 2010 they were happy to refer to my expired PR paperwork. We just had to prove that we were still genuinely a couple. Which we were and which we did. Then, hey presto, my passport came back with 'bluey's in it.
