paraparam train line closed - info
This weekend and the following weekend, buses will be replacing trains on the Paraparaumu Line for essential track maintenance.
Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 November 2007 between 6am and 7pm - buses will replace trains between Porirua and Paraparaumu.
Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 November 2007 between 6am and 7pm - buses will replace trains between Porirua and Paraparaumu.
While this is a rather large project that may inconvenience passengers travelling over the weekend, it does mean that a lot of track work can be carried out at once, meaning less bus replacements in the future.
The Overlander between Wellington and Auckland (and vice versa) will operate as normal.
