Best I could get tonight...
![](http://images.nikonians.org/galleries/data/23344/PanstarrsComet.jpg)
You can just see its tail going upwards...will try again tomorrow and see if less haze but the window of dark-enough-but-still-above-the-horizon is quite short (15mins or so tonight), so find somewhere with an open Westerly horizon.

Didn't see it. Think you need a unobstructed view of the horizon.
Stupid mountains.

Hi BEVS, this shot was taken at 8:37pm. The comet is quite close to the Sun and is setting with the Sun, hence the short window when the Sun has set hence dark enough to show but by then the comet is close to the horizon and setting....
You need as clear a view of the western horizon as possible (no trees or hills)
The crop is taken from this image which will show you where in relation to the Sunset it appears:
![](http://images.nikonians.org/galleries/data/23344/medium/PanstarrFull.jpg)
The comet is half way up the sky, vertical from the mid-point of the left-hand fan of leaves at the right of the picture...

Unfortunately, due to extreme anti-social racist
behaviour from a neighbour , we didn't get to view the comet.
Can we still see it this evening please?

Yes you should be able to see it over the next few nights if there is no cloud in the way, it is gradually getting brighter but lower (closer to the sun), but last two nights we have first seen it very close to 8:30. We lose it about 9pm as it sets.

Rats ! We tried and failed. Great clear view but couldn't spot it at all.
