NZ internal flights
Anyone recommend websites where you can book internal flights in and around NZ?
We'd like to stay in the North Island but tour the rest of NZ, however driving doesnt look an option considering the distances between touristy areas! lol

Really the only two options for flights, you can book e-tickets online.
Some touristy spots may be drivable though (bay of islands from auckland, rotorua from auckland/wellington etc). but for the main centres Auckland/ Wellington/ Christchurch certainly flying is the way to go.

Air New Zealand certainly has the monopoly at the moment. We've got a friend who used to work for Air New Zealand - their recommendation was always use their website to book - much cheaper than flightcentre website/shop/phone. I think there is also one other flight company that does limited internal flights - Freedom Air (but not sure what sort of coverage they have).

Origin Pacific also do internal flights.
We have found the prices to be much of a much really.
Too expensive for us by far.

Qantas also have a good internal timetable in NZ. I think they're generally slightly cheaper - worth checking out their website

Great Barrier Airlines (www.greatbarrierairlines.co.nz) fly up to the Coromandel, if you want a different way to go.
There are a couple of small airlines flying across the Cook Strait as well.
