....If anyone knows where the UK pound sign is located on my NZ Netbook keyboard I would be extremely grateful...

Hold down your ALT key , type 0163 & then release the ALT key.

Does that do it for you. It does it for me. £

I have my keyboard language set to UK so £ is still Shift 3 despite it showing # on the actual key. It does however mean I always struggle to find the hashtag but that's no biggie to me and I much prefer the UK location of the @ beside the Enter key.

It does need to be done on the type of keyboard that has a number pad, so won't work when you just have the numbers in a row along the top.

Yep, you need to be using the number pad on the side, then ALT 156 should work

Does it have any alternative number pad - these are often accessed using a Function button and the number pad is then available on the main keyboard often with the u,i,o & j,k,l, & m,,., keys. The numbers may be written in blue on these keys?

Stormer - I know it's a bit of a faff, but if you do fall short on something quicker you could google "British Pound Sign" and then copy and paste the symbol from the results page.

Before this ALT + 156 thing came up that's what I was doing, anyhow.

Or, we could all stop being pedantic so and so's and just use, [Number] GBP, e.g.;

250 GBP
