Default NZ citizenship processing time

Hi,
I've just lodged my applicaiton for NZ citizenship after living here for 5 years. The DIA website says it could take up to 4 months to process. Just wondering if anyone has got theirs in shorter time than that?

People moan about the arrangement but in a way it's not so bad if you have enough cash to support yourselves and don't need to go to uni. At least you get to try Oz without a visa expense!

IS it likely you'd qualify for PR once there?

No. I don't think so. It;s the time to process the application & then you have to wait for your council to notify you of an available slot for the citizenship ceremony.
