I work in Mosgiel, it's a bit of a retirement town but there's some lovely houses going up. It only takes me 20 minutes to drive there from Dunedin every morning so if an extra 20 minutes commute doesn't bother you don't rule out living closer to Dunedin.

Me and OH currently live about an hours drive out of Auckland. There is a possibility we may get a transfer with our jobs to the South Island. We would live in Mosgiel / Waihola / Milton area.
We have met loads of people who have travelled the South Island and say it's fantastic, however, what's it like living there ? I know it's cold but so was Kent!!
We are both in our 40's, no kids, two dogs.

Today, a customer walked through the door and I said "G'day, how ya goin? Weather's lovely ay" Just sort of slipped out, I was taken aback by it all!
