...and the sentance that your overseas licence is valid???
As a UK licence is related to an address, which you no longer have, I am not sure that it is still valid. Sure the UK don't make you change the address if you go overseas but if you had an accident on your old UK licence in NZ....where would the police be able to contact you?
Perosnally I wouldn't risk it. It's $40 odd and a quick eye test at an AA shop. Not a lot of hassle really.

We still have a valid correspondance address in the UK thanks. No I´m not going to risk it either but that doesn´t change the rules...and the licence only really needs an address so they can issue speeding camera tickets

I passed my class 2 licence test in NZ, Now i am back in the U.K. will DVLA see that as a HGV 3 ? Waste of time sending my kiwi licence to them if its not.

But if you're a lush like me and keep flitting out of the country you can find yourself looking at reaching at least the end of your fifth year not having needed to change it! Wonder how many years on a UK licence I can manage, such is my aversion now to form filling ....
