Hi anyone out there no of any good places to stay in Sydney for families over the New Year I would be grateful for any info xx

whenever staying in Sydney I use www.checkin.com.au - I'm not sure about around christmas/new year, but at other times of the year they do have some good deals - a large amount of the apartments they have are for professionals on longterm use of the rooms, so when they have a spare "long weekend" on rooms you can get some good deals ... 3 nights for the price of 2 etc.

Central Sydney is really quite an easy city to walk around, so don't be put off something that is classed as "CBD" or "The Rocks" or "Darling Harbour" or "Circular Quay" ... you can easily walk between any of these within 10 minutes or so.

I've stayed in a hotel in Darling harbour over New year, and a friend of ours stayed at Rydges hotel apartments Darling harbour and liked it
