Hi there

I have 2 free business class return tickets to NZ with Emirates so I have decided to treat my wonderful husband to a trip to Auckland for our first wedding anniversary next February 17th.

We can only come over for a long weekend (Luckily our anniversary is on a Sunday) so will fly out on Thursday and return the following Monday. Can anyone recommend a good hotel in Auckland, along with some places we can visit, sights we can see etc.

Any info would be very helpful

I would you suggest 'Trip Advisor' usually very good at giving a realistic view of hotels (the good, the bad and the ugly)

Have a meal in the revolving restaurant at the top of the SkyTower. It was a lovely end to a month's tour of NZ.

We stayed in the Heritage in Auckland for a week or so back in May and it was very good.

They do some very nice suites/apartments in the tower side of the heritage.

If you've not seen 'We will Rock You' its on at the Civic Theatre which is walking distance time from the heritage.....saw it the other day and it was very good.
