I gotta get that book.
I was gonna try a lamb stew yesterday but forgot so I had to make it on top of the stove and wait for hours anyway.

I used mine today
I chucked him
2 big kumera and 3 potatoes chopped up and briefly fried in some oil first
then I fried of onion and garlic and chucked that on top
sliced mushies on top of that
then browned some chicken pieces in a pan and put on top
I mixed 4tbsp of tom paste with a tablespoon of flour
Mixed that with a cup of hot chix stock and chucked on top and left in the crock pot for 8 hours
I had some left over peas and corn so chucked those in for the last half hour
seemed to work

I had another go with some chicken and used a lot less liquid than before and it was better.
I'll get there in the end.

Try Maggi's Slow Cooker Sausage Casserole Mix, it actually makes NZ Sausages taste nice-ish

Magness Benrow have been making a big song and dance about them:

I think Noel Leemings may have them but their website is off air at present, funny that so is Bond & Bond. Hmmn, are they related?

Blasted slow cooker is still turning out school dinners no matter what I try. All tastes rather samey and dry.
