My family and i wish to move to new zealand
Hi there,
I'm currently looking into relocating myself and 2 girls aged 16 and 10 to new zealand,i run my own plumbing business in Scotland but due to a tragic family issue earlier this year,I'd love to take the girls away from it all, which city would be best for my career and girls education?
many thanks,
Neil

despite the difficulties you may find getting a visa I am wondering why you think NZ is the place to be? do you have family over here?

I'm sorry to read that there has been a tragedy in your family. I hope you are all on a road to healing and recovery.
Just like the UK, NZ is quite a large spread out country so it might be best to narrow down what it is you wish from a move across the world.
Do you know which visa route you will aim for?

I'd suggest you come on a long holiday first, the time away may help with the healing, enable you to look at some of NZ and most importantly see if it is <really> a good idea and what you all want.
Moving is hard on all families, especially so if you are a single parent and needing to establish yourself as well as support the girls through the process.

To the OP I'm sorry that you've had a family tragedy. Have you had a long-held dream to live in NZ or is this a spur of the moment/looking for a change decision?
Seeing if you are eligible for a visa to live and work here is your first task. It's nigh impossible to choose a city/ town without knowing what sort of lifestyle you're looking for. In the first instance it will most likely be determined by where you can get a job. How do your girls feel about a potential move to the other side of the world?
Best wishes.
