I will be applying to the Ambulance Service but unsure if they would pay for the move.

We purchased Miele white goods before leaving UK because all of ours were falling apart. The Miele comes with a 10 year guarantee and they are covered over here and in Australia.

There was actually only £50 between the cost of my Miele washing machine and the Hotpoint with a 5 year guarantee. We knew we'd be on a tight budget though, so wanted to have an up front spend with some years piece of mind.

What ever you do buy, make sure you spend the extra and get the most energy efficient you can.

The cost of running the machines over here is higher than UK - and I've had to start running mine on a much lower temp because the bills were huge. (A rated - but we do loads of washing)
