yeah it ws that day, the northerly winds have started up, never seen wind like it, supposed to end in 4 weeks then the summer kicks in, did the briscos 50% sale on sunday and got blown literally back to my house, and im no tiny guy .
The sea looked great though the green plankton blume is going on, makes the sea that great green colour, apparently that ends after january then the sea turns a deep blue colour. Im still amazed about the little things that i notice such as the different smells of the plants here, the grass is greener and even the sky looks more blue. Maybe the clean air has gone to my head.
Only been here 6 weeks and am thinking about nesting already, been looking at getting a dog but common sense kicks in to think thats too early. But im loving it here, and yeah people moan about the money but im getting the same here as in the UK but my quality of life has increased greately

To really fit in as a kiwi, get a cat !! I have never seen so many houses {and some of them newly built}, with cat flaps built into the house walls.
One street near to us has so many cats sitting on house decks and drive ways, my youngest child re-name the area "Kitty-ville".
Gill p.s. we now have 2 cats
