money, money, money!
Hi all!
We have finally got everything booked (for our holiday/reccy trip) & are coming to New Zealand in just over 2 weeks!! I'm sooooo exited!!
We want to bring some spending money with us (obviously!) & wondered if we would be better bringing traveller's cheques, £ sterling & exchanging once we get there or just bringing it all in NZ$?
Thanks in advance for any replies

Re: money, money, money!
When we came here on our hols we brought a caouple of hundred NZ$ then just used our cash cards and VISA.
I think the security of not carrying money is worth the minor fluctuations in exchange rates.

I have no idea why?
Most payments are made in NZ by EFTPOS, a debit card.
If you are staying with friends here you should be able to open a bank account fairly easy.
Change the full amount of GBP that you intent to spend here otherwise you pay a lot for the constant changing of Forex.
But as previous post says, be aware of the risks of cash.
