It's just one year pre-reg in Oz isn't it, rather than the 2 here? I'm a bit woolly on teaching stuff, better with nursing.

My exams weren't finals- but yes, I guess 2-3 weeks.

Yup, all changed in July apparently My degree is in Early Years so I'm a qualified ECE teacher AND Primary teacher. Both are assessed separately, so in order to work in either/or, I have to pay for my quals to be assessed by TWO areas of the same dept. $1400.... So I have to choose wisely which area I want to work in first, then once I'm there and earning I can pay the other fee to have the rest of it assessed if I want to change sectors

Just the 1 year pre-reg yes. I can't believe I have to pay for that here too on top of the many thousands it just cost me for my training...

Thanks Bevs. There are plenty of other people who had tougher times than I had. It was not without its difficulties, but there is always someone else worse than you (not you you, but you in general). gawd I'm bored!
