Medical Waiver NOT granted.

Medical Waiver NOT granted.
Hi Guys,
Had a message left by Case Officer today saying "not good news I'm afraid a medical waiver has NOT been granted". Of course I phoned to get the details and in a nut shell Pauls skills do not outway the costs incurred through Jordan's illness, but it seems to me this has been the quickest thing to go through we were told a waiver takes 2-4 weeks to process our was done in just over a week (I guess our CO manager having a bad day as the decision is made purely by that one person). I will have the full details tomorrow but things are real bleak as CO reckons an appeal to Resident Review Board will take 1-2 years to appeal. We haven't decided whether we will appeal, Paul said he will have a look at the form and see what it entails. To be honest we had resigned ourselves that it wasn't going to happen, we even bought a puppy on Saturday. I did tell case officer that we were definitely going to appeal but this maybe doubtful now. We will move somewhere else either in England or europe I don't know at present.
Hey Ho! New Zealand's loss.
Thanks Guys

Re: Medical Waiver NOT granted.
Hi Claire
We are in a situation at the moment where I am a Nurse and my husband has been requested to send his CV for a possible job offer. We know there are only a handful of people who can do his specialised job. The concern is that our son has ASD. Which visa did you apply for which had the possibility of health waiver?
Regards

Hi Claire
We're so sorry to hear your news. I know that its bleak but the light hasn't totally extinguished itself at the end of that tunnel yet & who knows???. Whatever the eventual outcome, no-one could ever say you didn't put up a fight!!!
We really do wish the Hopkins Clan all the very best of luck in the future

Re: Medical Waiver NOT granted.
Dear Claire, Paul & Jordan,
I'm so sorry to hear this news, but maybe Southern France or Northeast Spain is calling? The only other alternative I see to an appeal is signing a waiver (if such agreements could exist between you and the government) that you would pay separately for Jordan. I know when I came to the US, my in-laws had to sign some papers, saying that they wouldn't let me become "a burden on the state", as they had sponsored me.

Really sorry to hear about the medical waiver, it must be really disapointing. Thanks for the advice you gave me regarding my mother in law. We hope to find out the initial outcome tomorrow. we definately feel that if they are'nt successfull we still have fighting power with regards the waiver. Good Luck for the future.
