Medical for Visa
Hi everyone,
Im wondering if anyone could help?
Myself and my husband are at the very beginning of contemplating a move to NZ, I am a practice nurse and would be looking at applying for the skilled migrant visa and therefore believe my husband would be on my visa.
He does have certain medical conditions that may hinder the visa application and therefore wondered if its possible to have a medical prior to paying the £2k for a visa and then have a medical at the end and be told it was all for nothing.
Has anyone experienced this before or have any information that might be able to help me?
Thank you so much,
Samo

Re: Medical for Visa
Hi Samo,
Immigration only accept medicals from certain practices, see the list in Immigration forum above, there are only 8 or 9 in the UK.
What I would suggest is that if you have a diagnosis then check the immigration site to see if this is one of the means he would not be eligible for a visa and if not then gather together all the medical information you have on his care a long term diagnosis as well as any up to date letters from his doctors as to the ongoing treatment.
Each case is analysed by Immigration and their panel doctors on a case by case condition.
