Weirdly I have never had a problem with HSBC (which 'everyone' hates).
My current and credit account is still active. Whenever there's a problem I simply call their international number (I had a weird feeling it was collect but maybe it's only my ANZ account which is collect!). And they send me my statements -on a quarterly basis - in NZ.
