Re: Living in both NZ and UK
As to NZ home - until we got things sorted out finally, we would be in rented or just travelling for the first 2 years.
The aim being to qualify for PR Visa and still have the choice of NZ or UK.
Daughter has a permanent address in NZ so presumably we could have that as our main address.
Motor Home somewhere in NZ not being a permanent address, so to speak.
NHS is a good point.
If you still have your original house in the UK and you are still registered with your GP would anyone notice?
5 months 27-30 days of holiday fine, one more day and...

This is a useful document for determining whether you are UK tax resident - as far as I know, if you're tax resident you're resident for NHS treatment (others may be able to clarify). Keeping a property in the UK and living in it on visits will make it more likely that you are UK resident (see notes and definition of a home in the government document).

This is the UK government guidance notes:

Would the NHS notice if you're non resident? I doubt it; the UK is far more lax in checking eligibility to free health care than other countries, which isn't to condone exploiting this failure.

Why not turn up in a rubber boat and ask for asylum, it seems equally as underhand as what you're proposing. Pretending to live in 2 countries, actually living in neither but taking advantage of both.
