If I lived in CHCh, I'd probably buy them ... - if you charge me $10 for 10 bottles ... I dont' drink bottled Stella but what you can do is use as detergent to clean the oven or kitchen. or use as Fabric softener. I use bottled beer when I wash my hair tho... just rinse off with beer at the end....:rofl:very nice. :D I too am not allowed to drink beer actually...am going to get a blood test this week to find out my liver is still ok...or not... and to check vitamin D/B12 levels etc.

My brother has the same problem - but worse than you. (dangerous level). but he doesn't drink alcohol at all.. see? he became slightly fatter ever since his uni days...he studied (none stop) for total 6 years at uni without holidays - taking summer courses every year..... he was doing triple degrees,,, and after graduation, 3 years (even worse) intensive training at work....(leave home at 7.00 am and come home at 10.00 pm for 3 years...lack of excercise..) I must say... that nearly killed him....well I wanna kill his boss!! - it makes me angry.

all I can tell you is you must do regular excercise. and lots of walk - very very important. and avoid eating red (fatty) meat/high GI foods if you can.

Yeah, hubby had to have 3 or 4 repeat blood tests to check how the levels had changed, then the ultrasound scan then the specialists report... its all normal so try not to worry :)

Know it can be quite stressful but it'll be reet in the end :D

Yeah, I know, and thanks.
It all gets a bit frustrating as it does drag on, 9 months since EOI and counting.

Re: Liver function tests

From our EOI to having med signed off, interview and WTR visa issued it was about 12 months, so you shouldn't have too long left!

Ah well. As predicted, despite Milk Thistle tablets, litres of cranberry juice and water and (relatively) clean living my follow up test came back with slightly worse results than the first set.

Getcha. !

Same for the husband. 1 year completely tee total and super healthy diet. Results = worse that ever.

We feel your pain. Not that there is pain .

Did you ask for thyroid tests out of interest?

Intolerance in diet?

Exercise. I mean fitness training?

At this stage I'm just going to wait and see what Immigration say re my residency application, and worry about the causes later. My results arent too high, so I'm sure its nothing too serious, I'll just keep on the (relatively) clean living in the meantime.

My elevated LFTS were caused by my gall bladder! It's gone now and so has the elevated lfts and some other issues. Good luck!

Really? How did you find out . Husband's GP wouldn't even consider investigating the causes .
6 years back, when we emigrated , husband's liver function tests etc were 100% in the normal range.

Sorry to be a bit off topic.

Adamlt1972 - hope the case is all signed off A OK & a lovely visa is winging it's way to you shortly.

Sorry BEVS, didnt mean to cause offence.
The doc who gave me the results wasn't sure they'd take it any further, but did say I should cut out the booze in case they look into it more.
Bit of a shock really, I did a med for a visa app last July and didnt have a problem.

Hi Could have been what you had in your system 48 hour before, best when having test like this is to pull back before hand.

Well, the hospital thing would be a bit of a drag but to get yer liver and lights right it's well worth it. Certainly sounds like you have an on the ball doc there.
