On the plus side, 'normal' landings aren't going to seem as scary in the future...

At the moment I'm sitting in a room watching the waves marching in across the bay near Plimmerton. Beautiful panoramic view. Shame, I won't be able to afford to live with a view like this permanently, but we'll make the most of it while we can.

First NZ meal - toast
Second NZ meal - toast
Third NZ meal - McDonalds

Probably going to have to work on that then.

Welcome, welcome, welcome... tis a bit breezy today... and even with the wind Plimmerton is beautiful... was a bit too much though this morning walking on plimmerton beach with the dog... felt like i was being pebble dashed with the sand!!!

As you're working your way up food menu, the fish shop in plimmerton run by the greek family do some of the best fish dishes for miles... particularly like their groper...

Wow, I might well have staggered past you on the path, half asleep on my way to the supermarket. Thanks for the tips.

I've been told it's not that unusual. After weaving and bucking, tipping from side to side, dramatically increasing and decreasing the power to the engines on the approach to the runway, the plane finally went into a steep full power climb at t he last minute and circled around for another go. We were told that the ground crew had reported a wind shear on the airfield during the final approach.

Hey don't blame us for the weather. It's bound to go crap again sometime!

Tee hee, reminds me of a landing at JFK we made some years ago, it was firm enough to make a lot of the oxygen mask come down!
