I know Maori people don't like being called black*. Is that PC? You decide I guess. One person's PC is another persons sensitivity to the wishes of others.

*In case I upset anyone, my mother who is head of a primary school in Mangere tells me that the kids call each other black when they want to insult them. They are Maoris and Pacific Islanders.

No. Thankfully the UK is a LOT more civilised and socially inclusive. Have you SEEN the Hell Pizza billboard? "at least our brownies won't eat your pet" it's disgusting and offensive .

Think of lavatorial, schoolkid humour, throw in a series or two of 'On The Buses' and 'Love thy Neighbour' and you'll get a good feel for what's it like to be a person of colour living in New Zealand.

In my experience no, unless it comes to Maoridom. They are very sexist, someone from my team is leaving and it's amazing how many people have said you need a bloke as a replacement! Couldn't imagine that happening in the UK.

By the way don't worry about what they say the Human Rights Act in NZ is fairly PC and you can't advertise vacancies based on gender.
