Kiwi women? where are they?

Kiwi women? where are they?
This is my personal experience...
On a hot sunny Sunday afro (today) this is what my neighbours are doing.
One is out side building a huge retaining fence, which he has been doing solo for about 4 weeks.
One is building a patio out the frount, also by himself.
One has just single handedly finished decorating and renovating the kitchen...
Good on these Kiwi blokes.
My piont is...where are the wives don't they help?
When we "as a couple" undertake DIY projects whether it building fences or decorating or building decks I'm always expected to help...
What are the women doing?
Or is it ...where did I go wrong?
Anyone else notice this?

I think they are all out shopping. 
Yes, I to do my bit and help out and supervise the proceedings, only to make sure that the job gets done to my specifications and standard of workmanship..

and the update is...No1 neighbour is still out there working, if he had wifey to help maybe it would be finished this side of Christmas.

I think more that anything, Kiwi females should be praised for their independance of spirit...blah blah blah first country to give women the vote...blah blah blah....first country to have females holding all the major positions of power....blah blah blah......first country to have 'female chauvinist pigs'....
