I was just sifting through my saved 'favourite' websites on my laptop and came across BE.

I haven't been on here for ages so was just wandering through all the posts and got me thinking - Why do you use this website?

Not meant to be a detrimental question at all - i found it very valuable when i first arrived here and infact made a couple of great friends who are now 'real life' friends so to speak.

I am sure come green card time i will be back nosing through the immigration posts

So - why do you use the forums

Social networking, information, habit now you have made some friends on here, or just to have a bloody good moan

To moan and rant and get information - and also to read about what other people are up to who are under going similar situations. I love reading what other are up to.

I came on like others did to look for info to move to the US with hubby - This site has been invaluable to me, without it I wouldn't have questioned anything I was being told by my lawyer, and I'm sure it would have taken much longer to get through the process than it has.

Its also made me more prepared than I would have been for my upcoming interview.

To be able to read that other peoples USC other halves have the same funny quirks that mine does has had me cracking up laughing, not to mention the discussions about penis size, bread, lack of bacon, driving and other funny topics that fly around!

I'll definately stick around once we're all done and dusted!

Can't remember what I was googling for but BE came up so I checked it out. For me it was the sense of humour of some members. I read back through pages and pages of old threads...often with tears of laughter rolling down my cheeks.

Speaking of which, I was mentioning that to DH the other day, when we passed a rather decrepit motor home and it reminded me of Rushman's classic tale of his Nascar experience.
