Just begun the process ...
Hi everyone or rarther Kia ora
We've just prepared out EOI and our migration agent will submit in Monday once she's double checked it, we've got 150 points so looks like, from everything I've read on the immigration site, that we will automatically be pulled from the pool.
We were in NZ just after new year and spent 14 days just travelling around we meet some really lovely people during our time and met up with an old school friend too, and visited some amazing places so we had a wonderful trip.
We've been using SEEK to keep abreast of the job market - both in IT, I'm a software tester (13 years experience) and Luke specialising in Network, Systems and Desktop Support and are using www.realestate.co.nz to check out property rental and purchase prices, if anybody else has any suggestions of sites please do shout.

Lots of really useful info and lovely people on here... we have completed the process, just waiting to leave in 4 weeks - if you need any help with anything just holler!

Our EOI was submitted on 18th and we were selected on 19th, just waiting for the next step!

Hello my brother moved to NZ with wifey 3 years ago on an EOI and he is in IT - if you are interested PM me and I can send you their contact details they would be happy to share their experiences. He found work after about six weeks and they have been as happy as Larry since they arrived! (Took about a year in total to get the visas all sorted.)
