No pets.

Get put up by my firm for a month, so going to look at areas when out there.
Can't wait!

Haha.... There seems to be a theme here!

We leave the UK on 28th December. Going to visit my sister in law in Melbourne for a week (to break up the trip / jetlag).

Buckle up, here we go!!! Can't believe I am actually doing this after talking about "going home" for so long.:eek:

Myself (46), daughter (16) and son (15) - Leave Manchester 19th January.
Arrive Auckland 21st January 2014.

Husband to arrive sometime in the following few weeks. Eldest daughter (23) staying for final year of university and perhaps longer.

Living in Auckland. No jobs lined up yet.:unsure: Kids enrolled in school - term starting 29th January. UK house still on market. First container left Monday with 2 cars, a ton of clothes (I am an addict) and lots of boxes. Second container will go when house sells. It's happening, finally. Point of no return?

We will be in Wellington last week in January. Hoping to hook up with distant relatives. Then moving on to Christchurch to look for a job early Feb.

Hi we are moving our family out there in Jan too! We have jobs, but no home yet, or school for our boy. How did you get them enrolled? The schools we want are zoned and require addresses? :{ Also, anyone know if Marshall Laing Primary in Blockhouse Bay is OK?

Once you have an address - the school zoned has to provide a place.
We have a house that will be taking over (currently rented out) a week before school starts. I would advise the school of your plans- our schools in Wellington have been very approachable and helpful.

They are doing the last few years of high school at an independent school so no zoning issues. If you move into zone, the school is obliged to give your child a place. Even with over-subscribed schools.

My hubby (also toyboy!) leaves Bristol, UK on 14th January - arrives Auckland 16th January. His company have booked him into a hotel for the first month - so he has a chance to look around to find somewhere to rent.

Me and our lad to follow for a couple of visits before making our final departure from UK at the end of July!

Hi Coffley, We are there on the 6th January. Kids will be 4 and 2 when we get there. Mrs Cockney Kiwi wont be working either straight away, so will be keen for company I am sure.

We are staying in Middleton to start off with I think.

Hey newbie here, but a week and I'll be heading off to new Zealand myself :) I'm 22 depart from heathrow on 27th and land in Auckland on the 29th :D!!!
