ITA Received!
That was quick! We were selected from the 14th September pool and received our ITA yesterday morning! How long does the ITA process now take once we've submitted the our forms and supporting documents? We don't have job offers yet but is it still possible that we'll be granted Residence Visa's before we leave for NZ?

We applied without job offer!
We posted our ITA on 23rd July, were allocated a case officer on 15th September, interviewed 21st September and were given PR on 29th September. It doesn't take long!!

Thanks! You didn't miss it, our computer blew up last week and I had to go and buy a new one!
It was the strangest feeling though. Months and months of build up and then an e-mail entitled 'Your application for PR in New Zealand'. I was shaking like a leaf when I saw it, but when I opened it it was a complete anti climax. I think it must have been shock really. We didn't tell anyone for days, but once we did our own excitement has built up and now we are almost bursting!!!
Hopefully it's going to be your turn soon!!!

Re: ITA Received!
Mark,
Is this PR "in principle" ie : you don't actually get the VISA until you get a job. If so how long do you have after you arrive to find employment?

Tim,
Congrats on the ITA
PR in Principle means that your visas will be issued once you pay the migrant levy (which stands at £115 per person if I remember) and once you send your passport(s) to get the blue sticker in (if you haven't sent them already).

Tim,
Yes, as Jen says "in principle" means until you've paid ad got the stickers. It probably also means that if you do something silly like get convicted of a crime they can withdraw the issue (gulp).
As far as jobs go, our case officer said we can go anywhere and do anything we like! Yippee.
