Dear all,

Can anybody tell me if the International qualification evaluation service that NZQA offer at a price of $450 NZD is for all qualifications entered on our EOI i.e myself and my wife or is that $450 NZD per person?

NZQA is independent of NZIS. NZQA assess individuals only, ie it is NZD 450 each.

Whatever you do avoid the fast track route.

I had a potential employer pressing me to get it done. NZQA took three months! Having put the p in peddant they really stick the boot in. They assume evrything you studied for has a transcript of reulsts and that you kept it. This could mean the exam you sat during your first year at uni, in the Lower Sxith or evena project mark at O Level GCSE!

I was reduced to contacting my uni, getting a 'certified' copy of the prospectus which then outlined the nature of my course so they could then compare it with relevant NZ qualifications. Only real value was establishing pay bands!

If you want to teach you also need Teacher Agency registration. This can be done at the same time but will not progres until NZQA pass the info down the street to the Teacher Registration dept! Some several hundred dollars later and several phone calls your get an answer.
