I believe the figures being touted are a payment of 1.88% of gross earnings will give cover of 80% of earnings for a max of 7 months. Only applies to earners on less than $150k PA

My preferred system is one akin to the Singaporean Central Provident Fund rather than an insurance scheme.
Thanks. There's actually a feedback process but I've given up on providing any because, as we saw with CGT, it doesn't actually appear to influence public policy.
