I'm here!!!
Hi all
I arrived Monday am, rather a little worse for the 26 hours of travelling, but survived.
Sorry I haven't been online, I don't have any net access here and I'm not falling into the 6 pounds (no pound sign!) per MB on my UK mobile.
I have somewhere to stay (it's right on a main road) and I can't wait to find somewhere quieter, I have a job and an NZ sim card so far...
House hunting is going to be a nightmare as agents aren't open on Saturdays in Palmy (well 1 is but they don't have much to offer) and they also don't take clients to and from properties, so without a car/bicycle, I'm going to be doing a lot of walking and a lot of bribing my new boss for time off during the week.
I only have 3 weeks to find somewhere...no pressure.
But all in all, I'm thrilled to be here, it's not been too cold (electric blankets are a godsend and I'm already eyeing out ones to buy for our rental place), only one baby-shake and some super friendly work mates and good locals!
Can't wait for my hubby and baby to arrive, I'm over being a bacherlorette already and it's been < a week!
Thanks again to everyone.
Locals in Palmy give me a shout and we'll taste some Tui/anything sometime.

How ya doin' ? Welcome, glad you arrived safely and are enjoying it so far. Could you find a cafe with free wifi and look up TradeMe property for a look at properties for rent ?

Re: I'm here!!!
. You'll see that you've turned to redon the UK to NZ July thread .
Hope you're able to find somewhere to live quickly, sure you're new colleagues will help you.
Our local libraries provide 30mins free internet use on their computers, so your local library may be a good place to go whether you can get wi-fi or not.
