although we are never going to be millionaires here, we are happy and the views out of the windows in lounge (over the chain hills ) are briliant the bird songs in the mornings have to be heard to be believed

Okay, beautiful beaches, lovely sceanary, gorgeous weather, variety of fish if you like eating fish that is, so that maybe a negative sorry, clean air, lack of pollution, lack of traffic OUTSIDE AUCKLAND of course, sorry that maybe another negative if you are going to live there, outdoor recreation wouldn't recommend sex on the beach though !! Minimal risk of terrorism, freedom of movement, freedom of speech, not much CCTV, significantly lower cost of living than the UK, we are living on hubby's salary and saving mine, oh my hubby wants to add COLD BEER, he's the kiwi !!
Look at the end of the day fun or not, any place is what you make it, you are going to have good days, bad days etc.
