I can understand your frustration and sense of unfairness. Especially as a very special piece of jewellery was given to her. I also understand your sense of as to why this has all blown up since you mentioned your daughter's 5th birthday.

As I mentioned in a previous post my sister has more or less told me to stop it with the birthday presents, except between her and me. Sounds like a sop in my direction, doesn't it ?

However, my husband is glad of the decision I have made regarding this. The look on his face said, 'at last !' I actually showed him your post on this topic. He grinned and said, 'that's right.'
